Creation of the 'Street of Light' in Mansu Bokgaecheon Area, Namdong-gu, Incheon

The Mansu Bokgaecheon area, located in the original downtown of Namdong-gu, Incheon, has transformed into a nighttime scenic spot within the city.

Namdong-gu announced on the 11th that it opened the "Street of Light" around the Mansu Bokgaecheon public parking lot on the 8th. The Street of Light was created to revitalize the local commercial district and will operate year-round.

The district installed a signboard announcing the Street of Light at the entrance of the Mansu Bokgaecheon public parking lot and decorated the Moraenae Children's Park with a Christmas tree and LED decorations. A giant 12-meter Christmas tree was installed between the 1st and 2nd public parking lots, and two different light tunnels will illuminate the night.

In the green space between the 2nd and 3rd public parking lots, a photo zone featuring a dandelion flower field and a moon rabbit was created, and an LED playground was installed between the 3rd and 4th public parking lots to be used as a photo zone.

Additionally, along the 2 km round trip of the Mansu Bokgaecheon public parking lot, the Street of Light is highlighted with subtitles welcoming visitors, featuring "Aurora Light," "Stars in the Night Sky," and "Light Bulb Decorations in the Sky."

Park Jong-hyo, mayor of Namdong-gu, said, "We created the Mansucheon Street of Light to comfort residents struggling due to the economic downturn and to revitalize the local commercial district. We hope that the nighttime attractions in the city will foster a vibrant street culture and bring new energy to the local economy."
