On the 9th, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk held the '2023 Gumi City Family Center Performance Report Meeting' at the Saemaeul Movement Theme Park, hosted by the Gumi City Family Center. About 200 people, including provincial and city council members, multicultural families, and citizens, attended to review this year's projects and explore improvements for the 2024 initiatives.
The report meeting proceeded with a presentation of the Family Center's achievements over the year, viewing of project activity videos, awards for outstanding participants, and celebratory performances. Meanwhile, in the lobby, various experience booths such as a photo exhibition of fathers' childcare, creating a happy home, writing love letters, and a Christmas photo zone were operated, allowing participating families to enjoy the year-end atmosphere and share warm feelings.
Do Geun-hee, Director of the Family Center, said, “I am grateful to everyone who used the center this year, and next year, we will do our best to support diverse family services so that a healthy family culture can be formed in the local community.”
Hwang Eun-chae, Director of Family Childcare, expressed, “I appreciate the hard work of the Family Center director and staff who operate various projects for happy family life. A healthy family is an energy that gives hope to individuals, families, and society. We will continue to actively strive to create an environment where all families can live happily together.”
The Gumi City Family Center was selected as an excellent center in the 2023 National Family Center Project Operation Evaluation (hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family) at the end of the year, achieving the honor for the fifth consecutive time since 2011.
