Celltrion's Seo Jeong-jin and Song Gil-young to Meet Writers... Hankyunghyeop Invites Youth for 3-Day Camp

The Korea Economic Leaders Association announced on the 10th that it will hold a free 'Future Leaders Camp (Furicam)' for 200 young people over three days and two nights from the 14th to the 16th of next month in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. Seo Jung-jin, Chairman of Celltrion; author Song Gil-young; Kim Jong-yoon, CEO of Yanolja Cloud; Nam Min-woo, Chairman of the Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation; and members of the YouTube channel 'Pisik University' with 2.68 million subscribers (Lee Yong-joo, Jung Jae-hyung, Kim Min-su) will attend and engage in conversations with the youth.


The Furicam project newly launched by the Korea Economic Leaders Association is a vision camp that provides various insights to young people aspiring to become CEOs.

The highlight of the camp is the relay talk concert. The first speaker will be Seo Jung-jin, Chairman of Celltrion.


Chairman Seo Jung-jin is a living testament to Korean entrepreneurship, having built Korea's top bio group, Celltrion, in 20 years since its founding. He will give a lecture on his indomitable spirit that knows no giving up, his journey from childhood to the present, and his life philosophy and outlook.

On the second day, big data expert and author Song Gil-young, known as a 'Mind Miner' for his work in reading and digging into people's minds, will speak. Song Gil-young forecasts changes in the era and provides insights into future trends. CEO Kim Jong-yoon is a leader in digital innovation in the travel and hospitality industry, utilizing innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). He will deliver messages related to challenge and innovation.


Chairman Nam Min-woo, a first-generation venture entrepreneur and former chairman of Dasan Networks, will share his history from startup to present and know-how on overcoming crises based on his experience overcoming various challenges. Members of the YouTube channel Pisik University’s Pisik Show, which won the Baeksang Arts Awards TV category for entertainment, will give lectures on communication skills.

During the camp, there will also be startup CEO mentoring and networking, a performance by the Gangneung City Symphony Orchestra, and volunteer activities. Participants will have opportunities to build friendships through group missions. All attendees will receive certificates. Outstanding participants will be awarded the '2024 Future Leaders Award.'


Lee Sang-yoon, head of CSR at the Korea Economic Leaders Association, said, "Furicam is a new concept camp that will serve as a stepping stone for young people to become future leaders. The Korea Economic Leaders Association will continue to support young people's dreams and foster entrepreneurship to brighten Korea's future."


Those wishing to participate in Furicam can apply on the Korea Economic Leaders Association website by the 29th of this month. Participants will be announced on the 4th of next month, followed by an orientation. Any young person aged 20 to 39 interested in entrepreneurship can apply.
