Geumcheon-gu Tennis Association Donates 7.55 Million Won for Year-End Aid to Neighbors in Need

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on the 7th that the Geumcheon-gu Tennis Association (President Woo Seong-man) donated 7.55 million won in year-end aid funds for underprivileged neighbors.


At the district office's small conference room, President Woo Seong-man, Secretary General Kim Yoo-hwan, and Treasurer Kim Eun-ja delivered the funds raised with the support of association members.


The Geumcheon-gu Tennis Association has voluntarily gathered tennis enthusiasts every year since 2015 to donate year-end aid funds for underprivileged neighbors.


Established in March 1995, the Geumcheon-gu Tennis Association currently consists of 29 clubs and about 700 members. Every year, they hold the Mayor's Cup, the Association President's Cup, and the Mothers' Tennis Tournament, and participate in the Seoul Mayor's Cup and Seoul Association President's Cup tournaments, achieving excellent results.


They also manage the Doksan-dong public tennis courts under consignment and contribute to expanding the tennis base by donating their talents annually to youth and seniors.


Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “We will deliver the precious donations from the members of the Geumcheon-gu Tennis Association to neighbors in need through the Warm Winter Project.”
