Israel Defense: "Signs of Hamas Collapse Begin in Gaza Strip"

Military Chief Spokesperson: "Hamas Fighters Surrender One After Another... Over 200 Terror Suspects Arrested"

As the Israeli military's campaign to eradicate Hamas has exceeded two months, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant assessed that signs of Hamas's collapse have begun to appear in the Gaza Strip.


According to local media such as the Times of Israel on the 9th (local time), Minister Galant visited a military base near the Gaza Strip on the previous day to celebrate the Jewish holiday Hanukkah and said, "There are signs that (Hamas) has begun to collapse in Gaza. All of you are playing a crucial role in this matter."

He continued, "Our military is conducting operations in Hamas strongholds in southern and northern Gaza, including Jabalia, Shuja'iyya, and Khan Yunis."


In this regard, Daniel Hagari, the chief spokesperson for the Israeli military, stated, "The Israeli military has engaged in fierce battles with Hamas terrorists hiding underground, eliminating many terrorists, and more Hamas members are surrendering."


He added, "In the past 48 hours, the Israeli military has arrested over 200 terror suspects," and explained, "Among them, dozens, including Hamas commanders and members of the special forces unit Nukhba, have been transferred to the 504 Intelligence Unit and Shin Bet for interrogation."
