Cheongsong Yasong Art Museum Hosts Exhibition "Standing at the Flower Beyond the Ash"

Regional Artists Invitational Exhibition

Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Yoon Kyung-hee) will hold the exhibition "Standing on Flowers Beyond the Ashes" featuring Korean paintings by Mocheong (茅靑) artist Woo Seung-woo, a cultural and artistic figure from the Cheongsong area, at the Cheongsong Yaseong Art Museum from the 8th to the 31st.

Mocheong artist Woo Seung-woo, born in Cheongsong, is a Korean painter who has actively engaged in artistic activities, holding over 150 solo and group exhibitions across Seoul, Daegu, Jeju, and other regions, making him a representative cultural and artistic figure of the Cheongsong area.


The exhibition was organized to showcase the artist Woo’s passion and dedication to traditional Korean culture and arts, and to widely promote the excellence of Cheongsong’s cultural and artistic heritage. Marking the end of the year, it was planned as an opportunity for residents and museum visitors to emotionally relax through Korean paintings, a field of traditional cultural arts.


In particular, the "Standing on Flowers Beyond the Ashes" exhibition is the artist’s first exhibition held in his hometown, presenting carefully selected works from numerous pieces created during his cultural and artistic career.


A Cheongsong-gun official stated, “We hope this exhibition will further promote the excellence of local culture and arts and bring vitality to the region,” adding, “We wish that residents and tourists who have had a busy and challenging year can take a moment to rest and enjoy a pleasant year-end through this exhibition.”
