Final Appointment on the 28th After Employment Screening
Lee Myung-soon, former Senior Deputy Governor, has been appointed as the new CEO of SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance.
On the 9th, the SGI Seoul Guarantee Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee held its final meeting the previous day and announced that it had solely recommended former Deputy Governor Lee as the new CEO candidate.
Born in 1968, Lee graduated from Daeryun High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Economics, and earned a master's degree in International Development Policy from Duke University in the United States.
Candidate Lee Myung-soon graduated from Daeryun High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Economics, and obtained a master's degree in International Development Policy from Duke University in the United States.
He began his public service career by passing the 36th Administrative Examination and has held positions such as Policy Officer for Structural Improvement at the Financial Services Commission, Standing Commissioner at the Securities and Futures Commission, and Senior Deputy Governor at the Financial Supervisory Service.
Former Governor Lee will be officially appointed through an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on the 28th, following board resolution and approval of employment screening by the Public Officials Ethics Committee. His term will be three years, starting from January 2 of next year.
