Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Explores Future Alternative Education Directions

TF Results Workshop, Discussion on Best Practices, etc.

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 8th that it conducted a 'Alternative Education Development TF Results Report and Capacity Building Workshop' for about 50 staff members from alternative education specialized schools and alternative schools at Hotel Hyundai Vira Han Mokpo.

This training was held to share the results of the Alternative Education Development TF carried out from May to October and to establish the direction and identity of alternative education in Jeonnam.

The TF results report includes survey results from students, parents, and staff of 11 schools operating alternative education in Jeonnam, as well as in-depth interviews conducted through school visits.

In particular, it presents excellent cases, issues, and improvement plans for each school, along with ▲ awareness of alternative education ▲ understanding of school identity ▲ culture of communication and consultation among school members ▲ appropriateness and support of budget management ▲ expectations and improvement plans for each school's role ▲ future direction and development plans for alternative education in Jeonnam.

An official from the Office of Education stated, “Based on the TF results report, we plan to conduct school-by-school consulting every two years to support schools so that they can operate in accordance with their founding purposes and the essence of alternative education.”
