Scheduled to Deliver to Vulnerable Groups through Eup-Myeon-Dong Administrative Welfare Centers
On the 7th, Gumi City in Gyeongbuk delivered 420 containers of kimchi (worth 9 million KRW) directly made by the ‘Hamkkeraseo Joayo Volunteer Group’ and ‘Gukbindaebanjeom’ (General Director and CEO Choi Sang-pil).
The kimchi prepared that day was made with care by the members who washed and seasoned the napa cabbages themselves, and it is scheduled to be distributed to 420 vulnerable households through the Eup/Myeon/Dong Administrative Welfare Centers.
Park Kyung-ha, Director of the Social Welfare Bureau, said, “We are always grateful for the Hamkkeraseo Joayo Volunteer Group and Gukbindaebanjeom for their continuous efforts in volunteering by serving jjajangmyeon to neighbors in need, and we sincerely thank them for not forgetting to donate kimchi as well. The kimchi will be delivered properly to the vulnerable groups who truly need it.”
The ‘Hamkkeraseo Joayo Volunteer Group’ was founded in 1997 with the purpose of providing meals to marginalized neighbors without worry, and its approximately 60 members continuously engage in sharing activities such as free jjajangmyeon events and delivering kimchi during winter.
