BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seong-bin) attended the ‘2023 Korea Audit Association Audit Awards’ ceremony hosted by the Korea Audit Association at BEXCO, Busan, on the evening of the 7th, and received the Excellence Award in the Private Sector for the Social Value Realization Institution Award.

The ‘Social Value Realization Institution Award’ is given to companies that have led the realization of social value through consideration for socially vulnerable groups, creation of quality jobs, win-win cooperation, and more.

As the largest financial institution in the region, Busan Bank has established an ESG vision of ‘Creating Social Value through Sustainable Finance’ and has been striving to be a help to the region and a support to local residents.

In particular, as a result of consistently practicing ▲inclusive finance ▲win-win finance ▲eco-friendly financial support, the social value of Busan Bank, calculated by the global accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), was found to amount to a total of 2.6 trillion KRW as of 2022.

Busan Bank’s Standing Audit Committee Member Jo Seong-rae said, “Busan Bank has continued efforts to fulfill its social role as a financial institution that has grown together with the region,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to realize social value by supporting low-income and financially vulnerable groups, expanding regional contribution projects, and strengthening fair trade.”
