According to the police on the 8th, the Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul arrested eight Jeonjangyeon members at around 8:40 a.m. on charges of refusal to vacate, violation of the Railroad Safety Act, and obstruction of business.

They are accused of refusing to comply with police and Seoul Metro's requests to leave while holding a press conference with religious organizations to guarantee the mobility rights of disabled people on the platform of Hyehwa Station at 8 a.m. that day.

Seoul Metro allowed southbound trains to pass through without stopping from 8:13 a.m. to 8:37 a.m. that day due to the conflict.

Earlier, Seoul Metro announced a tough stance, stating that it would take legal action against all illegal activities, including blocking station entrances, restricting boarding by suspending the opening and closing of platform screen doors upon entry, after Jeonjangyeon resumed illegal protests in the subway.
