Silla University Sajik Disabled Daycare Center Wins Grand Prize in Excellence Case and Program Contest

Organized storage, line dance, meal kit cooking... The disability protection programs developed and operated by Silla University have borne fruit.


Silla University (President Heo Nam-sik) announced on the 8th that the Sajik Comprehensive Social Welfare Center Disability Daycare Center, which it operates under consignment, won the grand prize in the Excellent Case and Program Contest at the '2023 Disability Daycare Facility Workers Seminar.'

On November 28, the '2023 Disability Daycare Facility Workers Seminar,' hosted by Busan City and organized by the Busan Disabled Welfare Center and the Busan Disability Daycare Facility Association, was held at the Busan Social Welfare Center auditorium with workers from disability daycare facilities in the Busan area in attendance.


At the contest for excellent cases and programs in the operation of disability daycare facilities held as part of this seminar, the Sajik Disability Daycare Center, a consigned institution of Silla University, received the grand prize, the Busan Mayor's Award.


The Sajik Disability Daycare Center develops and operates various programs such as organized storage programs, line dance, and meal kit cooking classes to improve the independence skills of adults with developmental disabilities in the local community.


In particular, the currency education program "Money! What?" was recognized for its excellence in promoting independence and improving the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities, earning the grand prize.


Established in 2004, the Sajik Disability Daycare Center has been striving to expand educational participation opportunities such as improving literacy skills and expanding lifelong education opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities, thereby broadening community experience and reducing educational disparities.
