On the 7th at 4 p.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Seoul, attended the '2023 Education Field Child Abuse Response Forum' held at the small auditorium of Nowon District Office in Seoul.
This forum was organized to find on-site response measures for reports of child abuse in educational settings (schools, kindergartens). A total of 60 workers from related child abuse response organizations gathered in one place, and presentations on child abuse response observed in the field were given in order by the Northern Education Support Office, Nowon Police Station, Nowon District Office, and Youth Counseling and Welfare Center.
With Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District also in attendance, the event proceeded in the order of opening remarks, progress report, case presentations by each institution, open discussion, and commemorative photo.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, "I thank everyone who is actively responding to child abuse in the field," and added, "Our district will do its best to create a society where children are happy, including leading the way in establishing child abuse response measures in educational settings."
