The Eurozone's GDP growth rate for the third quarter (July to September) of this year recorded a negative figure, indicating a contraction.
On the 7th (local time), Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, announced that the GDP of the Eurozone (20 countries using the euro) decreased by 0.1% compared to the previous quarter.
This is the same level as the previously announced preliminary figure.
This is the first time the Eurozone's GDP growth rate has recorded a negative figure since the first quarter of 2022, when the GDP growth rate was -0.1%.
