DHL, a Special Delivery Company Establishing an Innovation Center in Germany

Scheduled for Completion in April 2025

International express delivery company DHL announced on the 7th that it will establish the "Europe Innovation Center" in Troisdorf, Germany. The center, with a total area of 5,000㎡ (approximately 1,512 pyeong), is scheduled to be completed in April 2025. It will replace the existing Germany Innovation Center.

The Europe Innovation Center is DHL Group's first wooden building. The company explained that it will be constructed using eco-friendly materials and wood sourced locally, and will implement green technologies such as solar panels to achieve sustainability.

Through this center, DHL will showcase future trends and technological capabilities and introduce showroom designs that provide immersive experiences. The space will be operated with a modular structure and customer-centric concept that can be flexibly adjusted for various uses and purposes. It can host conferences accommodating up to 400 people and various industry events.

The company operates innovation centers in Germany, Singapore, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). To understand customer demands regarding major supply chain issues and find solutions, it conducts workshops, center tours, events, and collaborative projects. More than 15,000 people visit the centers annually, and DHL collaborates with over 100 startups to carry out approximately 150 innovation projects.
