Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Young-do) recently announced on the 7th that the Department of Hair Beauty was selected as an ‘Excellent Education and Training Program Certification Institution for the 2023 Process Evaluation Qualification’.

The ‘Process Evaluation Qualification Excellent Program Certification System,’ hosted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, is a system that selects institutions with excellent performance through on-site evaluations among those that have been operating process evaluation qualification education and training for more than three years.
The Hair Beauty Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been designated as a training institution for the Process Evaluation National Technical Qualification for Hairdresser (General) since 2016. It was also selected as an excellent operating institution in 2019 and has been conducting education and training annually until 2023, with an average qualification acquisition rate of over 98% (based on the number of completers) in the past three years.
The Process Evaluation National Technical Qualification is a qualification granted to students who complete an education-training course designed based on the National Competency Standards (NCS) and pass internal and external evaluations according to certain criteria.
The Hairdresser (General) Process Evaluation National Technical Qualification is a high-level qualification exam that requires completing more than 400 hours of education at the Hair Beauty Department of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, which has passed the designated evaluation by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. Candidates must achieve a score of 80 or higher by reflecting 50% internal evaluation conducted by the Hair Beauty Department and 50% external evaluation conducted by the Human Resources Development Service.
Kim Chae-young, a student of the Hair Beauty Department, said, “I sincerely thank the school for establishing a system that allows us to obtain the qualification certificate through school classes alone and the department professors who provided generous guidance and advice.” She added, “Based on the practical-oriented classes learned in the process evaluation qualification course, I will grow into a professional hair designer and become a hair beauty expert who will lead the beauty industry.”
Kim Nam-hee, head of the Hair Beauty Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, “The Hair Beauty Department conducts job-centered education and training in an integrated on-site practice environment, and as a result of the continuous efforts of the professors operating the course, we have maintained a high pass rate and employment rate, which led to recognition as an excellent education and training program.” He added, “We will strive to become an industry-customized process evaluation qualification course in the future.”
The Hair Beauty Department at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is the only Process Evaluation Qualification Training Institution for Hairdresser (General) designated by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region, providing field-centered education and training that enables qualification acquisition through school classes alone.
