Police Judge as 'Simple Traffic Accident'

On the 6th, Jung shared news on her social media (SNS) that the vehicle Yoo was in collided with a truck, saying, "This is how they silence people," and added, "I wonder if they would try to kill me if I exposed OOO's recordings."
Following the news of the collision between Yoo's car and a truck, many internet communities recalled scenes from the movie Asura and the drama The Uncanny Counter, where a corrupt mayor orchestrates a collision with a truck to cover up his corruption and attempts to murder a witness. They speculated that this accident was deliberately targeted at individuals involved in the Daejang-dong scandal.
Jung's remarks are also presumed to be an extension of these conspiracy theories, suggesting that Yoo's traffic accident was not a simple incident.
Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, said in an interview with YTN, "I don't think there is a conspiracy," but added, "What matters is not the substantive truth, but that many people who see the news will think, 'Isn't this an Asura sequel?'"

However, the police, after analyzing the black box footage of Yoo's vehicle, concluded it was a simple traffic accident. They decided to impose only a fine on the truck driver for violating the designated lane for cargo trucks.
The accident occurred around 8:25 p.m. on the 5th near Wolam IC on the southbound Gwacheon-Bongdam Expressway in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, when Yoo's SM5 passenger car (driven by a substitute driver) changed lanes from the third to the second lane and collided with an 8.5-ton cargo truck driven by Mr. A (61).
At the time of the accident, Yoo was returning home after having dinner with an acquaintance in Seoul and had called a substitute driver. Yoo complained of a headache after the collision and received on-site emergency treatment from the 119 paramedics who responded to the report. He was then transported to a hospital, treated, and discharged.
