The six leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held a regular meeting on the 5th (local time) to condemn Israel's attacks on civilians in the Gaza Strip.

The six leaders from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain, who gathered in Doha, Qatar, issued a declaration after the meeting stating that "Israel's military operations are clear violations of international law and international humanitarian law."

Regarding Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip, they criticized that "it has caused forced displacement of civilians and destroyed homes, schools, medical facilities, religious institutions, and infrastructure," calling it "an overt attack targeting the Palestinian people."

The meeting was also attended by Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, President of T?rkiye. President Erdo?an supported the GCC statement, saying, "Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is committing war crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip. He is putting the entire region at risk for his own political future."

The leaders urged an immediate ceasefire to be resumed in the Gaza Strip, leading to a "sustainable ceasefire," and called for humanitarian aid from the international community to be delivered to the residents. They also added that they plan to assist in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which was destroyed by Israel's attacks.
