On the 6th, the Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency announced that on the 3rd of last month, Moon Miseon (43) donated her ▲heart ▲liver ▲kidneys (left and right) at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital, saving four lives.

Earlier, Moon lost consciousness and collapsed during exercise one day in October, was transported to the hospital, but did not regain consciousness and was declared brain dead.

Born as the youngest of one son and one daughter in Daegu, Moon grew up under the care of her mother, who suffered from acquired blindness, after losing her disabled father at an early age. Because of this, she was actively involved in helping neighbors in need and strived to live a life of giving to others.

Her family revealed that Moon had expressed her wish to save others through organ donation registration four years ago, and because she lived a life devoted to others, they decided to proceed with the donation to honor her promise and to leave behind a selfless legacy at the end of her life.

Moon was a warm-hearted person who, along with her husband, had participated in the Sajjamo (a group making Jjajangmyeon with love) volunteer team for over 13 years, practicing sharing and volunteering by providing meals and various activities to people with disabilities, youth, and other neighbors in need.

Moon’s husband, Kim Dohyeong, said, "I was so happy and grateful to have been with you for 14 years," and added, "Now rest peacefully in heaven and watch over our family. I truly loved only you," delivering his final farewell.

Moon Inseong, director of the Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency, expressed, "We are grateful to the donor who overcame difficult circumstances and devoted herself to others, as well as to the donor’s family who stood by her side," and stated, "We will do our best to ensure that the life-sharing she practiced is well conveyed."
