Park Ji-hyun "Lee Jae-myung, what's the point of winning shamefully... What if you lose miserably"

"If You Don't Keep Your Promise on Political Reform, There Is No Future"

The Democratic Party, which had pledged in its presidential campaign to maintain the 'linked proportional representation system and prevent satellite parties,' is recently shifting towards breaking its original promises by reverting to a parallel proportional representation system and creating satellite parties. In this context, former Democratic Party Emergency Committee member Park Ji-hyun urged party leader Lee Jae-myung to make a decisive decision, stating, "There must never be a return to the parallel system."

On the 6th, Park, through her social media (SNS), said, "Please fulfill the promises of the semi-linked proportional representation system and the prevention of satellite parties that the Democratic Party and the leader have pledged multiple times."

Earlier, Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung left open the possibility of reverting to the parallel system or creating satellite parties, saying on YouTube, "What use is it to lose gracefully?" However, Park criticized this as a violation of past presidential campaign promises. She said, "The leader even said, 'What use is it to lose gracefully?'" and criticized, "Leader, what good is it if we win shamefully? What if we end up losing miserably?"

She added, "Our Democratic Party has been drifting further away from the people since the presidential election ended. They even say they will not keep the promises made during the election," and pointed out, "While the Democratic Party's victory is important, the party's victory must also be the people's victory. If the Democratic Party's victory is the people's defeat, what use is that victory?"

She also attributed the party's division to Leader Lee's failure to keep his political reform promises. She said, "Our party is divided because the leader has not firmly affirmed the political reform promises. The responsibility lies with Leader Lee. The way to prevent division is to firmly declare the political reform promises," and urged, "Please keep your promises."

Furthermore, she warned, "The Democratic Party is trying to abolish the system it created and promised by itself. Flatterers around the leader, who whisper about victory without principles, are colluding with the People Power Party to revert the election system to the past," and cautioned, "If the leader does not keep the political reform promises he repeatedly made during the presidential election, his political future will also disappear."
