Ven. Hongjin, who has been continuously sharing donations with Seoul National University Hospital since 2017 to support rare disease research and low-income patients, has surpassed a total donation amount of approximately 400 million KRW with this contribution. Having consistently supported neighbors in need and students, Ven. Hongjin decided on this donation to help patients who cannot receive treatment due to financial difficulties. The entire 300 million KRW donation will be used for the treatment costs of low-income patients.
Ven. Hongjin said, "I decided to donate with the hope that sick neighbors can receive treatment without financial burden," and added, "I hope this brings even a little hope to low-income patients."
Oh Gukhwan, Secretary General of the Hamchun Support Association, expressed gratitude, saying, "We appreciate this meaningful and beautiful donation for neighbors in need," and added, "We will use the donation transparently for patients who require financial support."
Meanwhile, the Hamchun Support Association is an in-hospital support group responsible for assisting with treatment costs for low-income patients at Seoul National University Hospital. As of November this year, it has supported 7,680 patients with a cumulative donation amount of 11.5 billion KRW.
