A total of 2,560 households in 52 buildings will be supplied in the Hannam 5 Redevelopment Promotion Zone in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It will be transformed into a luxury residential complex with views of Namsan.
On the 6th, Seoul City announced that at the 11th Urban Redevelopment Committee held on the 5th, it conditionally approved the 'Minor Changes to the Redevelopment Promotion Plan and Landscape Review Plan due to Floor Area Ratio and Height Adjustments by Block in the Hannam 5 Redevelopment Promotion Zone.'
The Hannam 5 Redevelopment Promotion Zone covers an area of 183,707㎡ around 60 Dongbinggo-dong, Yongsan-gu. It received traffic impact assessment approval last December and is preparing to apply for architectural committee review.
This change complies with the height standards of Hannam New Town but partially adjusts the height of some lots to expand views of Namsan. The skyline on the front side facing Namsan from the Han River side is lowered, while flexibility is granted for the height of buildings obscured on the rear side.
Accordingly, the building coverage ratio decreases from 35% to 30%, and the number of buildings decreases from 66 to 52, creating a more pleasant complex than originally planned. A total of 2,560 households will be supplied, including 384 public housing units.
Han Byung-yong, Director of the Housing Policy Office of Seoul City, said, “Hannam 5 District, with excellent natural environment conditions such as Namsan and the Han River, will be reborn as a large-scale apartment complex harmonizing Namsan and the Han River.” He added, “We will actively support the improvement of the aging residential environment in the Hannam-dong area and the development of a luxury residential complex that considers the Namsan landscape.”
