Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Hosts '2023 Korea Industrial Technology R&D Expo'
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it will hold the '2023 Korea Industrial Technology R&D Exhibition,' an R&D technology exhibition, at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul from the 6th to the 8th. Held under the theme "Beyond Today, Creating the Korea of Tomorrow: 30 Years of K-Tech," this event was organized to reflect on the history of Korea's industrial technology development and to explore future directions for advancement.
At this year's event, ten representative technologies developed with government R&D support were selected through expert evaluations and public online voting.
The "Integrated Laser-Guided Bomb Ground Target Precision Aiming System for Supersonic Light Attack Aircraft," jointly developed by Korea Aerospace Industries and GI Systems, is software (SW) that enhances air-to-ground strike mission capabilities. Applied to the T/FA-50, it secured export contracts worth a total of 5.8 trillion KRW (74 units) from Poland, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand between 2021 and 2023.
