SEMAS announced on the 6th that it introduced a generative AI chatbot called "Kim Gyeyak Junior" last October.

Kim Gyeyak Junior has learned SEMAS's internal contract work regulations and manuals, providing answers to inquiries related to contract work such as laws and work procedures. Since its introduction, it has shown high utilization by responding to a total of 2,187 inquiries from 150 users.

A SEMAS official explained, "Contract work requires familiarity with more than eight laws, including the National Contract Act and internal guidelines, leading to many inquiries about legal interpretations and work procedures. However, since there are only two dedicated contract personnel, immediate responses to inquiries were difficult. Therefore, SEMAS introduced Kim Gyeyak Junior to resolve these issues."

To apply generative AI to work, SEMAS has operated an in-house study group since April. They prepared for the introduction of generative AI by studying domestic and international technology application cases, security precautions, and holding contests for work efficiency improvement projects.

Satisfaction levels are relatively high. A survey conducted among employees who have used Kim Gyeyak Junior showed that over 70% responded that they were "satisfied." The top reason for satisfaction was "being able to ask questions and receive answers without waiting." Other requests included expanding the application to other tasks such as general affairs and human resources beyond contract work.

Park Seonghyo, Director of SEMAS, said, "The introduction of generative AI technology into contract work has greatly increased work efficiency. Moving forward, we will explore ways to introduce AI technology across various areas to provide prompt services not only for internal tasks but also for small business-related work."
