The three major indices of the U.S. New York Stock Exchange closed mixed near the flat line on the 5th (local time). Despite the release of employment data signaling a slowdown in the labor market and a sharp drop in Treasury yields, investors maintained a cautious stance.
On that day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.22% from the previous session, and the large-cap-focused S&P 500 index fell by 0.06%. In contrast, the tech-heavy Nasdaq index rose by 0.31%.
