Wavers Builds Integrated Control Platform Based on Digital Twin for Ulsan Mipo Industrial Complex

Wavvers, a spatial information platform company leading digital twin technology, announced on the 5th that it has been awarded the project to build the 'Ulsan Mipo Industrial Complex Digital Twin-based Integrated Control Platform,' commissioned by the Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency, as the main contractor.

The total project cost is 2.108 billion KRW, and it will be carried out by a consortium of four companies including Wavvers. Among them, Wavvers' contract amount is 843.2 million KRW, and the contract period is until December 31 next year.

Since 2022, Ulsan City has been implementing the 'Smart Green Industrial Complex Integrated Control Center Construction' project worth approximately 13 billion KRW from 2022 to 2024 to digitally transform industrial complexes. The Ulsan Mipo Industrial Complex Digital Twin-based Integrated Control Platform project, for which the bidding contract was recently conducted, is part of the integrated control center construction. Wavvers plans to monitor in real-time various field-collected information related to underground, environment, traffic, and fire within a virtual space based on digital twin technology. The company aims to build a core platform for immediate response and control in case of risk detection and safety accidents.

Kim Hak-sung, CEO of Wavvers, said, "This project will not be limited to a superficial digital twin that simply replicates physical shapes," adding, "We will strive to newly present an industrial complex-type digital twin model for safety management purposes, combining real-time information collected on-site within the industrial complex and simulated predictive information."

Meanwhile, Wavvers has successfully carried out the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's National Spatial Information (K-Geo) platform and digital twin-based national land service construction projects, and has built and expanded spatial information platforms for public institutions and private companies based on its spatial information solutions GeOnPaaS and GeOnDT. Recently, it has accelerated its business expansion into the private sector by launching the private spatial information collaboration platform service 'MapPick.'
