Focused Introduction on Development Plans for Mokpo City in the 8th Elected Term

On the 30th of last month, Park Hong-ryul, Mayor of Mokpo City, introduced the vision of Mokpo City to the students of the CEO program at Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol), Graduate School of Business Administration (Dean Kim Byung-rok), by invitation.

With about 30 attendees including CEOs and managers, Mayor Park gave a special lecture on the theme of "Development Plans for Mokpo City in the 8th Elected Term."

In his lecture, Mayor Park introduced plans for creating a youth-friendly 4th industrial revolution ecosystem through the promotion of a smart green industrial complex and a startup knowledge industry center, fostering new growth engine industries centered on the establishment of an offshore wind power convergence center and the promotion of an eco-friendly ship cluster, advancing Mokpo as a high value-added seafood industry city, and revitalizing tourism and cultural industries?envisioning a greater Mokpo that attracts young people.

Mayor Park Hong-ryul stated, "Although we have gone through difficult times due to COVID-19 and economic recession, the approximately 1,300 public officials of Mokpo City will unite their efforts to achieve greater and higher development for Mokpo."
