Mirae Asset Securities received the Chairman Award of the Korea Exchange in the overseas asset management (WM) category at the ‘2023 Asia Capital Investment Awards’.

Since its founding in 1997, Mirae Asset Group has steadily expanded its global network and currently operates 39 local subsidiaries and offices in 16 regions. Mirae Asset Securities, the group’s core affiliate, has the largest overseas network among domestic securities firms, with 10 overseas local subsidiaries and 3 offices. Despite challenging business conditions this year due to external and internal uncertainties such as the Russia-Ukraine war and prolonged high interest rate trends, it has continued to grow its overseas business steadily.

In particular, Mirae Asset Securities has achieved results as a comprehensive securities firm through thorough localization in Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. The Vietnam subsidiary actively conducts digital marketing such as online and non-face-to-face services targeting local customers, maintaining a stable market share. Additionally, it is expanding its business areas into investment banking (IB) and private investment (PI). The company aims to establish a nationwide branch network in Vietnam and position itself as a top-tier securities firm locally.

The Mirae Asset Securities Indonesia subsidiary was the first in the local industry to launch home trading systems (HTS) and mobile trading systems (MTS), continuously expanding its online channels. The India subsidiary is broadening its business scope beyond brokerage to focus on investments in local emerging growth companies. It has also established Southeast Asia IB hubs in Hong Kong and Singapore. Furthermore, under a mid- to long-term business strategy, it is expanding into new global financial markets such as Brazil and Mongolia.
