Action Square announced that it will conduct a play test for "Kingdom: The Blood of the Royal Family" for one week starting from the 5th. Last week, a play test for the new title "Dungeon Stalkers," showcased at the "ActionSquare Steam Fest 2023," was held.
Action Square stated, "Dungeon Stalkers, which was revealed for the first time at last week's event, successfully completed its play test," and added, "This week and next week, play tests for Kingdom: The Blood of the Royal Family and Project GGG (Gun, Gang, Gold) will be held along with various events."
Kingdom: The Blood of the Royal Family is led by PD (Producer) Kang Hyeong-seok, who joined in 2020. It is an action RPG that captures the essence of Korea, based on the original Netflix OTT drama Kingdom. It features breakthrough mode and conquest mode based on the original drama’s story, PVP (player versus player) battles, and a cooperative mode for up to four players.
With the start of this test, Action Square also released a new trailer and guide video showcasing boss battles. Players will fight powerful bosses after mastering combat skills.
Notably, this play test supports cross-play between PC and mobile (Android), allowing players to enjoy various content with breakthrough mode as the main focus. An event will also be held where users who clear the 5th chapter of breakthrough mode will be entered into a draw to win individual costume coupons, Steam gift cards, Google gift cards, and more.
A company representative said, "Our goal is to become a game recognized both domestically and internationally as a representative Korean action game by utilizing the Kingdom IP," and added, "Currently in the final stages of development, we plan to gather and reflect user feedback after the play test and officially release the game on PC, mobile, and iOS in the first half of next year."
In this play test, based on feedback from the CBT (mobile closed beta test) held last August, action and accessibility have been enhanced, and new content such as world bosses has been added.
Meanwhile, detailed information about the games exhibited at the event and how to participate in the events can be found on the ActionSquare Steam Festival brand page. During the festival, developer live broadcasts will also be held, allowing direct communication with each participating game development team.
