Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 4th that three additional projects were selected in the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s ‘Senior Career-Type Job Project’ additional public offering, securing a budget of 920 million KRW to promote a total of 12 projects in 8 fields.
The city plans to recruit 40 seniors in January next year, targeting unemployed individuals aged 50 to under 65 who have at least 3 years of experience or relevant qualifications in the related field.

Participants will be recognized as workers under the Labor Standards Act, signing employment contracts, receiving hourly wages ranging from 11,000 KRW to 16,000 KRW, and enrolling in the four major social insurances.
The three newly selected projects include the ‘Traditional Culture (Woodcraft) Management Manager’ for training manpower in lacquer woodcraft industry and revitalizing village workshops, and ‘Customized Korean Language Home Education for Multicultural Families’ to visit multicultural families who have difficulty visiting multicultural centers and assist with Korean language education and nationality acquisition.
Additionally, the ‘Namwon ON Health Planner’ project will conduct dementia screening tests for individuals with mild cognitive impairment and high-risk dementia groups who have difficulty visiting health centers, creating 7 additional jobs, providing a total of 40 jobs next year.
