Kolmar BNH invested 57.7 billion KRW in July last year to expand in order to smoothly respond to the rapidly increasing domestic and international demand for health and functional foods. It is expected to enhance customer satisfaction by sharing the production of solid tablets (solid-state health and functional foods), which show high operating rates at its other production base in Eumseong.

With the completion of Sejong Plant 3, Kolmar BNH now has an annual production capacity worth 700 billion KRW based on domestic standards, the largest scale in the industry. Including the Sejong production base, it can produce liquid and solid health and functional foods such as Hemohim worth 400 billion KRW annually, and with a total of three manufacturing plants including Eumseong, production worth 300 billion KRW is possible.

Sejong Plant 3 applies a smart system to enhance productivity. Monitors that allow a comprehensive view of all production processes have been installed to collect and analyze data generated at each stage in real time. This system enables immediate correction of any issues during the process and maintains optimized procedures to maximize productivity.

Kolmar BNH plans to complete trial production and obtain GMP certification for health and functional foods by January next year, with full-scale operation starting in 2024. Additionally, it aims to acquire the Australian TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) GMP certification, which has been obtained by the Eumseong and Sejong plants, to further enhance quality reliability.

Yoon Yeowon, CEO of Kolmar BNH, stated, “With the completion of Sejong Plant 3, we have strengthened our manufacturing capabilities based on world-class quality and proven our global competitiveness as the health and functional food ODM company with the largest production capacity in Korea. We will accelerate our entry into overseas markets and firmly establish our position as the largest global production base in Korea.”
