Dongjak-gu, Recruiting 'University Student Part-time Workers' for Winter Vacation Public Official Experience

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) is recruiting participants for the "University Student Part-time Job" program to provide various experiences in district administration during the winter vacation and help with tuition fees.

The recruitment fields include administration, welfare, and library sectors, with work locations at the district office, community service centers, health centers, libraries, and affiliated institutions. Compensation is based on the Dongjak-gu living wage, with approximately 1.5 million KRW paid for full attendance.

A total of 50 people will be hired to work for five weeks from January 3 to January 31 next year, performing tasks such as administrative support, childcare and learning guidance, and book organization.

Fifteen priority candidates, including basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups, and 35 general candidates will be selected through a public computerized lottery.

The application period is from the 6th to the 13th of this month, and any university student registered as a resident of Dongjak-gu as of the announcement date can apply through the Dongjak-gu website. However, students from cyber universities, academic credit banks, or overseas students are excluded.

For more details, please check the "Notices and Announcements" section on the Dongjak-gu Office website.

Meanwhile, as part of Dongjak-gu's youth policy, the district is conducting the "Dongjak University Student Administrative Internship," the first of its kind among Seoul's autonomous districts.

Last September, seven teams were selected and are currently conducting policy research on the district's seven major strategies, with presentations scheduled for the end of this month. Additionally, training on planning skills, speech, and research methods has been provided to enhance the employment competitiveness of the research teams.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, "This will be a great opportunity for Dongjak university students to directly experience district administration," and added, "We will strive to create new changes in Dongjak from the perspective of youth."
