Geumcheon-gu Tapdong Elementary Alumni Association and Danbi Volunteer Group Practice Sharing 7,000kg of Love Kimchi

Donation of 700 Boxes of Kimchi to 25 Local Children's Centers, Cheongdam Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, and Food Bank

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on the 2nd that the 11th Alumni Association of Tapdong Elementary School (President Yu Byeong-hyeon) and the Danbi Volunteer Group (Leaders Jo Mun-hee and Jo Haeng-i) donated kimchi to 25 local children's centers, Cheongdam Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Food Bank, and 33 other locations in preparation for the winter season.

The donated kimchi totaled 700 boxes (7,000 kg).

The 11th Alumni Association of Tapdong Elementary School has been donating kimchi annually to local children's centers in the Siheung-dong area since 2018. In 2022, they expanded their donations to include all local children's centers throughout Geumcheon-gu as well as the Cheongdam Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I thank the 11th Alumni Association of Tapdong Elementary School and the Danbi Volunteer Group for their continuous practice of sharing despite difficult circumstances."
