KT NexR, a big data specialist company under the KT Group, announced on the 3rd that it received the '2023 Workplace Innovation Excellent Company Certification' from the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Labor Foundation, and was awarded the Minister of Employment and Labor Award.
The Workplace Innovation Excellent Company Certification system is operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Labor Foundation to reward companies that lead workplace innovation and achieve outstanding results by improving work methods through labor-management cooperation. KT NexR was recognized for its efforts in actively establishing a labor-management cooperation system that enhanced work productivity and presented a case study as a representative of 13 awarded companies.
Over the past two years, KT NexR has achieved results such as a 90% reduction in turnover, a 34% increase in employment, a 42% increase in youth hiring, and zero industrial accidents. The company promoted workplace innovation by operating active labor-management cooperation programs such as labor-management councils and employee meetings.
It is evaluated that the expansion of flexible work options including telecommuting, staggered hours, selective, and flexible work schedules, flexibility in work locations, diversification and activation of vacation types, and internal communication programs such as health challenges and workshops have improved the quality of work life and employee satisfaction.
