No Need to Commute to Agent Office... Training Also Online
Cost Reduction Enables Top-Level Sales Commissions

Lotte Insurance has created a new platform that allows all insurance sales processes to be conducted via mobile. The strategy is to enable insurance planners to sell easily without having to commute to the office, thereby reducing various costs and offering top-level sales commissions.


On the 3rd, Lotte Insurance announced the launch of this sales support platform called 'Wonder.'


Developed over four years since 2019 with an investment of 40 billion KRW, Wonder integrates the entire sales process?from training, planning, application, to customer management?into a mobile application. It is designed so that planners can carry out the entire sales process without ever going to the office. The focus was on making it easy for both exclusive agents and insurance agency (GA) planners to use.


In particular, even the relatively complex sales of long-term protection insurance can now be completed through the Wonder app alone. It allows immediate confirmation of design results for various coverages that were previously difficult to implement on mobile, with real-time application of underwriting guidelines and coverage linkage conditions. This approach reduces indirect business expenses such as rent and fixed costs, enabling the company to offer top-level benefits to planners and competitive insurance products to customers.


Additionally, Wonder lowers the entry barrier for insurance planners. Anyone interested in insurance sales can take and complete planner introductory training and mock exams on Wonder, and upon passing the qualification exam, can start working as a planner immediately without having to report to an office.


Key features include ▲coverage analysis ▲insurance service (product) design ▲proposal sending, as well as additional functions such as ▲Master Chance (a feature that allows copying and applying designs from 'masters' who have achieved excellent sales performance over the past year) and ▲Join Chance (a function that helps planners collaborate in sales and potentially lead to actual sales).


Core sales processes such as applications and endorsements can also be completed through electronic signature functionality. Post-sale customer management is made easy by notifying planners of customers’ birthdays and anniversaries in a messenger format. Expected income and income status can also be checked in real time through Wonder.


In addition to competitive commissions and various new features, elements to increase planners’ income have been added. Wonder exclusively provides planners with a customer database (DB) carefully selected by Lotte Insurance through artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning. Furthermore, there are plans to enable sales of products from other financial sectors such as credit cards in the future.


A Lotte Insurance official said, "Planners using Wonder will experience the ‘wonder’ of discovering infinite possibilities in insurance sales free from spatial and temporal constraints," adding, "Together with the lifestyle-oriented insurance platform ‘Alice’ launched last September, we will make Wonder the central axis and leap forward as a digital non-life insurance company."
