The Beijing Korean Women Professionals Association held the "4th Kimchi Making Experience and Kimchi Sharing Event" on the 29th of last month at a Korean restaurant located in Wangjing, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China.
This event, held to promote kimchi, Korea's representative food, and the Korean food culture of kimjang in China, was sponsored by Daesang Cheongjeongwon, Gangwon Province China Headquarters, and the Beijing Korean Association.
About 100 Koreans and Chinese, including members of the Beijing Korean Student Association, Chinese university students, Chinese influencers active as the Korea-China Friendship Guardian Angels under the Korean Embassy in China, and members of the Chinese Women's Association (Mokryeonhoe), gathered to experience the kimjang culture together.
Participants made kimchi themselves under the guidance of star chef Ahn Hyun-min, who is active in China, and also had time to taste kimchi dishes presented by Chef Ahn.
