Korea Investment & Securities, Safe Zone Step-Down Type and Other ELS

Korea Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of Korea Financial Group, announced on the 1st that it will launch 21 types of Equity-Linked Securities (ELS) and Equity-Linked Bonds (ELB).

'True ELS 16667' is a 3-year maturity Safezone step-down product based on the KOSPI 200, EUROSTOXXX 50, and NASDAQ 100 indices. It features an added Safezone buffer area to increase the possibility of principal repayment.

Redemption is assessed every six months, and if the underlying assets are at or above 95% (6 months), 90% (12 months), 85% (18 and 24 months), 80% (30 months), and 75% (maturity) of the initial reference price, early redemption occurs with an annual return of 7.2%. Even if early redemption conditions are not met, if none of the underlying assets fall below 45% of the initial reference price during the investment period, the agreed return will be paid at maturity. If the assets have fallen below the loss threshold but are within the Safezone between 45% and 75% at maturity evaluation, the principal will be repaid. If the assets fall below the threshold, losses ranging from 55% to 100% of the principal may occur.

'True ELS 16683' is a maturity rising booster product based on NAVER. It has a 1-year maturity, and redemption is assessed once at the 4-month mark. If the underlying asset is at or above 90% of the reference price, a 5.26% return is paid and early redemption occurs. If held to maturity, profit or loss is determined by the fluctuation relative to the initial reference price. If the maturity evaluation price is at or above 100% of the initial reference price, 300% of the increase rate is paid as a return; if below, losses up to 100% of the principal may occur corresponding to the decline rate.

The subscription period for general individual investors is until the 4th. According to the investor cooling-off system, a cooling-off period will be held from the 5th to the 6th, and subscription intentions must be confirmed from the 7th until 10 a.m. on the 8th.
