Kyochon Chicken Accelerates Franchise Digital Transformation... Partners with Payhere

Kyochon F&B announced on the 1st that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with fintech startup Payhere to collaborate on 'digital transformation of franchise stores and global expansion' and will begin developing a next-generation POS system.

The signing ceremony held on the 29th of last month at Payhere's headquarters located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by key figures including Song Jong-hwa, Vice Chairman of Kyochon F&B, Yoon Jin-ho, CEO of Kyochon F&B, Park Jun-gi, CEO of Payhere, and Yoon Seok-ho, Director of Payhere.


Through this agreement, the next-generation POS system jointly developed by Kyochon and Payhere is expected to incorporate a solution that integratively manages unmanned ordering, waiting, payment, sales data, and customer management. Kyochon plans to accelerate the digital transformation of its franchise stores by adopting this solution. Digital transformation is an essential process to enhance store operation efficiency and is part of Kyochon’s blueprint to secure the future competitiveness of its franchise stores.


The two companies also agreed to establish a joint response process for subsequent steps such as franchise marketing and consulting to promote the spread of the solution. Furthermore, they plan to consider a long-term plan to introduce the next-generation POS system to overseas stores as well.


Vice Chairman Song said, “Digital transformation aims to create a better store operation environment for franchise owners by providing high convenience and efficiency,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that enhancing franchise competitiveness through digital means leads to improved customer service quality.”


CEO Park expressed, “We are pleased to partner with Kyochon F&B, a brand that has been loved for a long time,” and said, “We will work closely to proactively solve the concerns and problems of franchise owners nationwide and further improve the experience of customers visiting the stores.”
