Contribution Including Providing Learning Opportunities for Children in Non-Capital Regions
BMW Korea Future Foundation announced on the 1st that it received the 12th Korea Education Donation Award in 2023 in recognition of its contributions to educational donation activities.
This award is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Award, which discovers and honors companies, public institutions, universities, organizations/associations, university student clubs, and individual educational donors who have contributed to spreading the culture of educational donation through participation activities.
The Future Foundation operated the ‘Mobile Junior Campus,’ which provides free learning opportunities to institutions such as elementary schools and local children’s centers nationwide, excluding the metropolitan area. It aimed to solve the problem of learning opportunities being concentrated in the metropolitan area. They also conducted a mobile science creativity program that combined the characteristics of an automobile company with science and technology.
They will also participate in the 2023 Neulbom School & Education Donation Expo held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, from the 30th of last month to the 3rd. They have been participating since 2014. They will showcase programs using the Mobile Junior Campus. They operate workshops where children can directly make eco-friendly cars and laboratories where they can easily experience difficult scientific principles by interacting with various devices inside the Mobile Junior Campus vehicle.
The total number of children who have participated in the program is 192,617. The Future Foundation plans to continue leading social contribution and the spread of donation culture together with BMW Group Korea, BMW Financial Services Korea, and official dealers.
