Appointing 8 New Executives Based on Performance-Centered HR Principles
Kim Gun-ho, the eldest son of Kim Yoon, Chairman of Samyang Holdings, has been appointed as the President of the holding company Samyang Holdings.
Samyang Group announced on the 1st that it has carried out regular executive appointments and organizational restructuring ahead of its 100th anniversary next year.
In this personnel move, Kim Gun-ho, the eldest son of Chairman Kim Yoon and the fourth generation of the owner family, was appointed President of Samyang Holdings. His position is Chief Strategy Officer, responsible for the group's growth strategy and finance. Born in 1983, President Kim Gun-ho joined Samyang Corporation in 2014 and has served as head of the overseas team, head of the global growth team, head of the Global Growth Performance Unit (PU) at Samyang Holdings, and President in charge of future strategy at Huvis.
Among the eight newly appointed executives, including President Kim Gun-ho, seven were born after 1970. A Samyang Group official said, "Regardless of age, we appointed young leaders who have made outstanding contributions in their respective areas as new executives."
Through the organizational restructuring, Samyang Group established the Chief Strategy Officer and Finance Planning PU within the holding company Samyang Holdings, and created a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) division directly under the CEO to strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. In the Food Group, a North America Business Team was newly established under the Food Business Unit (BU) to expand specialty business in the North American region.
