Of the total 250 recruits, 175 general positions are open to currently enrolled or on-leave university students registered as residents in Seoul as of this date, or students enrolled or on leave at universities located within Seoul. The city has relaxed regulations to allow students attending distance learning universities such as the Korea National Open University to apply for the part-time jobs. The remaining 75 positions will be selected from vulnerable groups including recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security, near-poverty class, and persons with disabilities.

The work period is six weeks from January 8 to February 16 next year (5 days a week, 5 hours a day). Notably, starting next year, to alleviate students' financial burdens, wages will be paid based on Seoul's living wage (11,436 KRW per hour in 2024) instead of the existing minimum wage. If working full-time indoors for six weeks, students can earn approximately 1.86 million KRW.

Applicants can apply on the Seoul Metropolitan Government website from 10 a.m. on the 5th of next month until 6 p.m. on the 8th.

Jung Sang-hoon, Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Administration Bureau, said, "We expect that part-time work will enhance students' practical experience and employment capabilities, as well as increase their understanding of city administration," and added, "We encourage many interested university students to apply."
