Jungnang-gu Moving Workers' Shelter Branch 2 Opens

On the afternoon of the 29th, the second rest area for mobile workers opened within the Yangwon Public Housing District in Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi).

This is the second mobile worker rest area established in Jungnang-gu, following the first one opened in July. The second rest area is located inside the Jungnang-gu Workers' Comprehensive Support Center in the Yangwon Public Housing District and is expected to serve as a resting place for mobile workers commuting through the large-scale public housing complex in Yangwon District.

About 30 people, including Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi and representatives related to mobile workers, attended the opening ceremony held on the 29th to celebrate the launch. The ceremony included commemorative speeches, congratulatory remarks, and an unveiling event.

The rest area is equipped with heating and cooling systems, tables, sofas, mobile phone chargers, shared computers, massage chairs, and helmet dryers to ensure mobile workers can rest comfortably. The space is available to any mobile worker who needs a waiting or resting area during work, such as delivery and courier drivers, designated drivers, water and gas meter readers, caregivers, and private tutors.

Especially since the rest area is located within the Jungnang-gu Workers' Comprehensive Support Center, various support services such as legal and labor consultations, small group support, and cultural welfare programs for mobile workers are also available.

Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi said, "I hope this rest area becomes a comfortable resting space for mobile workers, protecting them from bad weather and long waiting times," and added, "We will continue to strive to improve the working environment and support policies for mobile workers."

The first mobile worker rest area, opened in July, is located inside the Jungnang-gu Social Economy Support Center in Junghwa-dong. The first rest area is also freely accessible to all mobile workers.
