The Department of Hotel and Medical Tourism Management at Silla University successfully completed the ‘Buk-gu Night Ecotourism Expert Course’ conducted in collaboration with Buk-gu Office of Busan City.
The program was held over three weeks from the 13th to the 28th, with 50 trainees consisting of local residents of Buk-gu and Silla University students participating.
The program, under the theme ‘Wild Turtles Flying in the City,’ included ▲discovering Buk-gu’s ecotourism resources using facilitation techniques ▲developing Buk-gu ecotourism products ▲visiting advanced ecotourism sites as part of the ‘Buk-gu Night Ecotourism Expert Course.’
On the last day of training, the 28th, a ‘virtual foreign tourist group’ composed of 30 Chinese graduate students from Silla University was involved in the training, where trainees directly guided and demonstrated ecotourism courses, conducting field practice and evaluations, receiving great responses.
The program trainees said, “While learning the process of discovering ecotourism sites in Buk-gu and developing courses, our affection for the region grew even stronger,” adding, “This course has solidified our determination to develop tourism products that showcase Buk-gu’s unique charm, differentiated from other regions, and we will strive to contribute to regional development.”
The ‘Buk-gu Night Ecotourism Expert Course’ was promoted to meet the demand for developing ecotourism resources such as the Nakdong Riverside Geumbit Sunset Bridge in Buk-gu and was selected for the ‘2023 Community Win-Win Cooperation Support’ by Busan Technopark.
