Kakao Games Wins Total of 7 Categories Domestically and Internationally at Google Play 'Best of Awards'

Kakao Games announced on the 30th that four of its service games won awards in seven categories at the Google Play 'Best of Awards (Winners of the Year)'.

Google Play's 'Best of Awards' is an annual event that selects popular games and apps, with winners decided through user voting. Kakao Games demonstrated its publishing capabilities by having all games released domestically and internationally in 2023 nominated and winning awards.

Kakao Games' mobile collection RPG 'Eversoul' won the Excellence Award in the 'Best Story' category. 'Eversoul' is a mobile RPG set in a fantasy world, where players become saviors summoned by spirits and command various spirits as spirit mages to defeat invading enemies and save the world. It features ▲regularly updated diverse types of spirits ▲content with strategic elements ▲events themed around 'wedding' and 'school'.

The PC/mobile cross-platform MMORPG 'ArcheAge War' won two awards: the Grand Prize in the 'Best for Tablets' category and the Excellence Award in the 'Best Multiplayer' category. 'ArcheAge War' is a cross-platform MMORPG utilizing the IP of the PC online game 'ArcheAge', characterized by fast-paced, exhilarating combat and a seamless world with no loading during movement.

The MMORPG 'Ares: Rise of Guardians' received two awards as well: the Excellence Award in the 'Best on PC' category and the Grand Prize in the 'Best Multi-device Game' category.

Meanwhile, Kakao Games' global releases also proved their popularity by winning awards in two categories. The blockbuster MMORPG 'Odin: Valhalla Rising', which began service in Japan in June, won the Excellence Award in the 'Best Multiplayer' category at the Japanese Google Play 'Best of Awards', and the globally simultaneously released 'Eversoul' also won the Grand Prize in the 'Best Story' category in Taiwan.
