Jeon Seung-il, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, announced on the 29th that the 'Urban Regeneration Project Post-Management Ordinance' was passed at the standing committee meeting.
The ordinance includes ▲establishing a post-management plan for urban regeneration before project completion ▲post-management projects, inspections, and support for urban regeneration ▲annual reporting of post-management plans and inspections.
Councilor Jeon stated, "Urban regeneration projects are underway with a budget of 47.3 billion KRW invested in five districts of Seo-gu, and a total of 31 key facilities have been established. These facilities can be operated free of charge under consignment, but there have been no projects, management, or post-plans utilizing them."
He added, "With the enactment of this ordinance, I hope urban regeneration projects will become an opportunity for further development, including revitalizing local communities, creating jobs, and strengthening residents' capabilities."
