After concluding the morning meeting, Bae Jun-young, Vice Head of Strategic Planning and a member of the General Election Planning Team, told reporters, "We conducted a nationwide analysis of the election landscape in preparation for this general election. Regarding reports from the meeting that suggested "the competitiveness of the metropolitan area party branch heads is declining and replacements are necessary," Vice Head Bae denied this. He explained, "It is not possible to generally say that competitiveness is declining across the metropolitan area based on analyses of advantages and disadvantages by electoral district."

He added, "There will be various analyses going forward. The election landscape can change depending on which competitive candidates run in each region, and other external factors can also be variables. We discussed the current situation as the main focus," he elaborated.

The General Election Planning Team intends to begin preparations aligned with the launch of the Nomination Management Committee around mid-December. At the meeting on the 6th of next month, they will discuss operational plans including the committee’s composition and launch schedule.

Vice Head Bae stated, "We have scheduled the final meeting of the General Election Planning Team for December 14. We aim to launch the Nomination Management Committee by mid-December or at the latest by the end of December. This is about a month earlier compared to the previous general election."

He also pointed out the Democratic Party of Korea’s failure to finalize its party stance on the proportional representation election law. Vice Head Bae said, "It is unclear whether the Democratic Party will adopt the semi-linked proportional representation system or another approach. This uncertainty continues to be a variable affecting our strategy. Through this opportunity, I once again urge the Democratic Party to promptly finalize their party stance and take follow-up measures to prevent the public from being disadvantaged by having their right to choose in the general election withheld."
