First 30s Executive and Female Talent Appointed... Samsung SDS 2024 Regular Executive Personnel Changes

Samsung SDS announced on the 29th that it has conducted its 2024 regular executive appointments, promoting a total of 9 executives, including 2 vice presidents and 7 general managers.

Samsung SDS explained that amid an uncertain business environment, it has actively appointed talented individuals who have demonstrated outstanding performance and growth potential across various fields to strengthen competitiveness in cloud and digital logistics businesses and to lead innovation in hyperautomation based on generative artificial intelligence (AI).

In particular, to foster the next-generation young leaders who will drive challenges and innovation for future growth, Samsung SDS boldly appointed talents who demonstrated performance and capabilities beyond their age, including promoting a general manager in their 30s internally for the first time since the company's founding.

General Manager Kwon Young-dae, appointed as an executive in his 30s, was recognized by Samsung SDS as a talent who will lead the company's future innovation through generative AI research, having researched combinatorial optimization technology using reinforcement learning and published papers for three consecutive years at NeurIPS (Neural Information Processing Systems), the world's most prestigious AI conference.

Additionally, Samsung SDS continued to emphasize excellent female talent for the seventh consecutive year by promoting General Manager Sa Gong-kyung.

Through this executive appointment, Samsung SDS plans to solidify its position as a cloud and digital logistics service company optimized for the corporate environment and further strengthen its IT technology leadership and business competitiveness.
