Collaboration Between Daesang, Korail Distribution, and Other Industries Underway
The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) signed a business agreement on the 28th at the 'Content IP Market' held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to foster the K-content industry and revitalize the domestic content IP industry. Together with companies such as Daesang and Korail Distribution, they will collaborate in the content IP sector and across different industries. This includes supporting the spread of K-content culture, jointly planning and discovering demand-tailored content using K-content IP, and supporting the growth of domestic rookie character designers and small and medium-sized content companies. A KOCCA official stated, "We plan to focus on expanding platforms for small and medium character IP companies and supporting collaboration opportunities that transcend industry boundaries."
KOCCA is also laying the groundwork for domestic small and medium enterprises to leap forward from the current collaboration trend centered on large corporations and overseas IP. Through 'IP Licensing Build-up,' it provides a cooperative framework between large corporations and small and medium content companies and supports promotion by producing exhibition booths at hosted events. Cho Hyun-rae, head of KOCCA, said, "Collaboration across different industries is very important for pioneering and nurturing K-content markets," adding, "We hope that the power of collaboration and coexistence will create synergy for the growth of the content industry."
