The signing ceremony held on the 28th at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was attended by Park Young-min, CEO of Daesang MinTCIC, Jo Hyun-rae, President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, and other officials, who agreed to cooperate for the growth of South Korea's content industry.

The main contents of this agreement include joint planning and discovery of demand-tailored content using content IP, and distribution and promotion of excellent content through distribution platforms to support the growth of domestic rookie character designers and small and medium content companies.

As part of this business agreement, Daesang and the Korea Creative Content Agency will jointly carry out the 'IP Licensing Build-up' project. They plan to support the production and distribution of intellectual property (IP) content (goods, packages, etc.) of small and medium content companies and provide know-how and business consulting to strengthen business capabilities.

Daesang has already received positive responses by launching products in collaboration with famous character IPs such as 'Pinkfong Baby Shark,' 'Sanrio Characters,' and 'Jjanggu-neun Motmallyeo' through its online-only brand 'JibeuroON.' Taking this agreement as an opportunity, Daesang plans to incorporate small and medium content company characters into the products it produces and distributes to help distribute and promote character IPs.

Park Young-min, CEO of Daesang MinTCIC, said, “This agreement was signed to contribute to the development of the domestic content industry and to foster win-win cooperation with small and medium content companies,” adding, “Daesang will actively utilize its capabilities to help revitalize the domestic content industry.”
