The Korea Communications Commission announced on the 28th that it will conduct a party opinion investigation related to the report of violations of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act against four directors of the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) and the Korea Broadcasting Culture Promotion Foundation.
This action follows the transfer of a report on "suspected violations of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act by chairpersons and directors of public-related organizations" by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission on the 20th, requesting an investigation and administrative measures regarding the suspected violations by KBS and the Korea Broadcasting Culture Promotion Foundation directors.
Upon receiving the case from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, the Korea Communications Commission requested the relevant directors to provide explanations regarding the related suspicions for the investigation under the "Act on the Prohibition of Improper Solicitation and Graft."
The Korea Communications Commission plans to review the submitted opinions from the parties involved and take subsequent measures accordingly.
